About the Designer

Vanisha 'Lovena' Somauroo

Vanisha 'Lovena' Somauroo is a self-taught designer and entrepreneur whose passion for Carnival culture has propelled her from local beginnings to international acclaim. As the founder of DBL Vibe Tribe, she has spent over seven years crafting bespoke swimwear and Carnival costumes that celebrate individuality and empowerment.

Her designs have graced numerous festivals across Europe and the Caribbean, and her work gained notable recognition when Sir Lewis Hamilton donned one of her creations on the cover of GQ magazine.

For Vanisha, Carnival is more than an event—it's a platform for self-expression, cultural celebration, and community building. Through initiatives like Reign Mas Band at Notting Hill Carnival and Rebel International, a Jouvert event, she fosters inclusive spaces where everyone, regardless of background, body type, or identity, feels seen and celebrated.

Driven by passion and a deep respect for the culture, Vanisha continues to design with the ethos: For the People, For the Culture, & For the Love of Mas.
